Refund Policy

Effective: May 23, 2026

HOA Fighter is a digital, on-demand service: as soon as you pay, our AI generates your full 8-point analysis and response letter. Because the product is delivered instantly and cannot be "returned", refunds are limited. This page explains exactly when we will and will not issue one.

When we will refund

  • Technical failure. You were charged $4.99 but our system failed to generate your full analysis or response letter, and it was not delivered to you.
  • Duplicate charge. You were accidentally billed twice for the same analysis.
  • Unauthorized charge. A charge appears on your card that was not made by you — please contact both us and your card issuer.
  • Request within 24 hours if unused. If you have not downloaded the PDF, received the email, or viewed the unlocked analysis, you may request a refund within 24 hours of purchase.

When we will not refund

  • You already received the full report or letter. Once the 8-point analysis is unlocked, the PDF is downloaded, or the letter is emailed to you, the service has been delivered in full.
  • The AI analysis didn't match your expectations. We clearly disclose that output is AI-generated and is general legal information, not legal advice. Dissatisfaction with the content of the analysis is not grounds for a refund.
  • Your HOA dispute did not succeed. We make no guarantee about the outcome of any dispute with your HOA. The service is the analysis and response letter, not a legal outcome.
  • You changed your mind after receiving the report. Digital goods that have been delivered are non-refundable as a matter of standard digital-commerce practice.
  • More than 30 days have passed. Refund requests must be made within 30 days of the original charge.

How to request a refund

  1. Email support@myhoafighter.com with the subject line "Refund request".
  2. Include: the email address used for the purchase, the date of the charge, and (if you have it) the Gumroad transaction ID from your receipt.
  3. Briefly describe the reason — e.g. "I was charged but never received the PDF."

We review every request individually and respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed through Gumroad and typically appear back on your card in 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

Chargebacks

Before opening a chargeback with your bank, please email us first. Most issues — duplicate charges, missing deliveries, technical errors — are resolved faster by direct refund than by the bank's dispute process. Chargebacks opened without first contacting us may be contested with the evidence we keep on file (order confirmation, delivery logs, analysis record).

Payment processor

Payments are handled by Gumroad.com, our merchant of record. Refunds are issued back to the original payment method through Gumroad. Gumroad may retain a small processing fee in accordance with their terms.
